Backpacker Imperial Porter Release

The Beer

Backpacker is one of our favorite releases! This smoked malt vanilla imperial porter is big and bold, and brings a dessert-like experience with flavors of chocolate and molasses. The smoked malt and real vanilla beans bring a smoky/sweet aroma.

In past years we have released this in February, to break up the monotony of winter. However, since it’s perfect for colder weather, this year we wanted to offer it in time for holiday meals and celebrations. If you’ve got good discipline, you might have even held onto a Winch it Out can to pour side-by-side with this one! (It even won a bronze medal at NABA this year!)

Backpacker will be available in a very limited quantity of 4pk 16oz cans. Look for it on tap in a few specialty craft beer locations around SW WA and Portland. And of course, as with ALL of our beers, you can find it at our pub in Battle Ground!
