Collab with Buoy Beer Co for 2023 Northbank Beer Week

It’s September, and the annual Northbank Beer Week in SW WA is upon us. This year we invited our friends at Buoy Beer Company out to our brewery in Battle Ground to hang out, talk beer, and brew a Cold IPA for the Brewing Bridges Festival.

An eddy in a river is a place where the normal flow of the river is interrupted, by something like a log or a rock, that causes water to pool and flow back around the obstruction. The eddy line, or the edge of the eddy, is where the two currents meet.

That fun little tidbit couldn’t be more fitting for two breweries who give nods to nature with their very being, and whose taglines follow the same pattern. Barrel Mountain, Where Beer and Adventure Meet, together with Buoy Beer Company, Where the Unstoppable Meets the Unyielding, meeting together like the two currents of a river at the eddy line.

Fast Eddy IPA is a Cold IPA clocking in at 6.8%. Find it at the Brewing Bridges festival on September 16th in Vancouver, or at our breweries’ taprooms next week. You’ll find a few extra kegs floating around at some of our favorite taprooms and beer bars in SW WA and Portland, too.
